Oh my god, It just turned out I didn't compile openssl with option shared!!! (how could I be so stupid)
Now everything compiles fine! Thank you for your great help.
But hey, here's my new problem:
Authentication still isn't working and passwords from mail clients are rejected.
/var/log/mail.info just records "did not issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to MTA" for every attempt.
auth.log says:
sendmail[17399]: cannot connect to saslauthd server: No such file or directory
What is still wrong?
