Hi there.
I've just updated my checkpw.c patch to apply to recent version of
cyrus-sasl distribution (2.1.17).
This patch makes sasl able to verify crypt(3) hashed passwords from
various backends (sql, ldap, etc...)
You can read documentation and download patches on the following

(FreeBSD ports patches are included)
This patch was tested on FreeBSD 5.1 with mysql 4.0.17 and postfix MTA.
