After successfully compiling cyrus-sasl version 1.5.28 in a Solaris 8
sparc environment, and configuring the Sendmail 8.12.5 accordingly
http://www.sendmail.org/~ca/email/auth.html, I get this message on
syslog (mail_log):

"Apr 1 17:25:33 httpd sendmail[9389]: [ID 702911 auth.error] unable to
get entry point sasl_server_plug_init in /usr/lib/sasl/libsasl.so:
ld.so.1: /usr/lib/sendmail: fatal: sasl_server_plug_init: can't find
symbol"

What can I do about this?
