Re: [aseek-users] Running 2 versions of Aspseek on one box

The clue:

In order for a s.cgi (or s-128.cgi) script to find the "right"
searchd, the variable DaemonAddress must be specified
in the corresponding s.htm (or s-128.htm) file, otherwise
the standard searchd port is used - and was used in my case ;:)

In my case, the following definition is needed:

# ../etc/s-128.htm
DaemonAddress 127.0.0.1:12348
# Merge results from other searchd daemons ...
# DaemonAddress 127.0.0.1:12345
# .. <more>

Nevertheless, very many thanks for your help. I am starting now
to get 1.2.8 into production.

If anybody is interested in the steps, I will write down what I did
to separate two versions of Aspseek into different locations (program
directory,
data directory, MySQL database, searchd port, Apache htdocs and Apache
cgi-bin).
